Emanuel Agriculture Development Corporation is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization founded in 2006 for the purpose of helping people in developing countries become self-sufficient through agricultural education. By partnering with academic institutions and the professional agribusiness community, we facilitate the establishment of economically-viable agricultural operations that help indigenous communities become self-sufficient and prosper in today's international marketplace.
The organization is governed by a board of directors and managed by its founders, Stan and Michelle Ray, who established Emanuel Agriculture Development following a 2005 mission trip to Romania.
Emanuel University is a fully-accredited private Christian University in Romania
The organization was named after Emanuel University, which is a private, fully-accredited Christian college located in northeastern Romania. This school was founded in the final days of Communism and today serves as a beacon of hope and encouragement to a new generation of Romanians. Emanuel University is giving young entrepreneurs the tools and moral foundation to create economic stability and prosperity for their families, their communities and their country.
We are currently raising money to establish an agribusiness curriculum within the Business Management program at Emanuel University. Romania has a great agricultural history, but 50 years of Communism has removed an entire generation of people with the knowledge and resources to be successful in the agriculture industry. This program will teach modern business principles and practices in the context of agriculture -- equipping young people and current practitioners in surrounding communities to establish and manage commercially viable agribusinesses with integrity and excellence.
