Emanuel Ag hosts visioning trip

March, 2009 -- Emanuel Ag Development hosted a visioning trip to Romania for Texas Commissioner of Agriculture Todd Staples and a delegation of agricultural experts from Dalhart, Texas.  In addition to meetings with graduate students and officials at Emanuel University, the group lectured to current business management students, met with agribusiness leaders and traveled to the nation's capitol to meet with high-level government officials.  The Bucharest meetings included a visit with the Romanian Minister of Agriculture and the Senate Agriculture Committee.  Click the following link to check out photos from the trip: http://agdevelopment.org/photogallery.html

New Brochure

IRS Grants Tax-Exempt Status -- November, 2006

Upon review of Emanuel Agriculture Development Corporation's (EADC) application, the Internal Revenue Service has determined that EADC is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS Code.  As an official public charity, contributions to the organization are deductable under section 170 of the Code and the organization is eligible to receive tax deductible donations from individuals, private foundations and public entities.


Texas Tech University Partnership -- October, 2006

Emanuel Agriculture Development Corporation led a delegation from the College of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources at Texas Tech University to Romania to meet with the leadership of Emanuel University.  In addition to lecturing to students at the business school, the delegation met with local farmers and agribusiness leaders, as well as government officials and community leaders.  Before returning to the United States, a memorandum of understanding was signed by the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Texas Tech University and the Dean of the Griffiths School of Business Management at Emanuel University.  The memorandum reflects the good faith interest among both parties to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership.



Emanuel Established as Non-Profit Organization -- July, 2006

The Office of the Secretary of State of Texas issued an official certificate of formation for Emanuel Agriculture Development Corporation as a non-profit organization established in the state of Texas for the purpose of establishing an agricultural education and economic development curriculum at Emanuel University in Oradea, Romania and to promote and encourage the development of agricultural education and commercially sustainable agribusinesses throughout Romania.
